2010 Hummer H2 213 Ultimate Six
There is actually a pretty easy way of figuring out the internal volume of a box, without using and tape measures. Our weapon of choice in this, will be packing peanuts. The kind you see in packages sent to your house. Those little pieces of foam that help keep the contents of packages from breaking or being damaged in transit. You will want to get a couple bags of these little guys. Enough to fill the enclosure you plan to measure.
Now you want to get a cardboard box or make a small wooden box that has an internal volume of 6 cubic inches. That would be 6″h X 6″w X 6″d. Those are the internal measurements, not counting the walls of the box. That way if you could freeze the air inside the box and take it out, you would have a 6x6x6 inch cube of frozen air.
Once you have your measuring box, start to remove the peanuts from the fiberglass box, and place them in the measuring box. Fill it to the top. Write down or mark somewhere how many times it takes to fill the measuring box. Say it takes 5 times, then your box’s airspace is 2 and ½ cu. ft. Every time you fill it, that represents 6 square inches of airspace.
Although the maximum seating capacity is eight, the Hummer H3 still has all the mod-cons of the H2 model. With the exclusive luminescent finish that gives the interior that extra sparkle and exudes luxury, two impressive bars and hidden TV screens, this model is without a doubt one of the flashiest.
Modification Suzuki Swift To Rally Racing Car
The the new archetypal is the ancient of its affectionate during which a Suzuki alive Indian engineers to architectonics a car that would attack in the all-around market. The architectonics of the new Swift was previewed on the Absorption S and Absorption S2 absorption cars at auto shows, in the years accomplished up to its launch.
Despite Suzuki’s constant accordance with General Motors (which itself had prompted the development of the absolute ancient Swift), the new Swift is actually Suzuki, and not based on the GM Gamma platform. The acclaimed British Autocar anniversary gave the new Swift a favourable 4/5 stars in alleyway test, badging it a “thoroughly arresting all-rounder”. Mk4 Swift has acclimatized a 4 stars out of 5 appraisement in the EURO NCAP bang tests.
The 2011 Honda Pilot Offers An Excellent Value
Midsize SUV’s are practical for their compact size and spaciousness and the 2011 Honda Pilot definitely fits the bill. This vehicle has enough room to seat eight persons plus it offers a ton of storage space. The shape of the Pilot is square on the front end and some reviewers have noted that its looks and stance resembles that of a truck. The aggressive appearance is bolstered further by wheels measuring seventeen inches. This SUV was designed to be practical in everyday life; the tailgate with a lift-up glass hatch makes unloading cargo super easy. The Pilot is also capable of towing, it comes with a standard Class III trailer hitch and is capable of towing 4,500 pounds. There are four trim levels available: the LX, EX, EX-L and top of the line Touring.
The engine isn’t as powerful as that of some of its competitor but it’s more than enough for every day usage. The engine contains six cylinders and outputs 250 hp and 253 lb feet of torque. Gas mileage stands at 17 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the freeway. It’s equipped with Variable Cylinder Management, which enables the vehicle to run on a lesser number of cylinders and as a result it’s quite good on gas.
Future Car – 2011 Chevrolet Cruze
General Motors (GM) has been absolutely transparent when it comes to new product reveals, choosing to show as much as they can about a future product even before it goes into production. This move on GM’s part is meant to shore up consumer and shareholder confidence, offering proof that the automaker is heading in the right direction by building smaller, much more fuel efficient vehicles.
Introducing The Chevy Cruze
One of the cars that will influence GM for years to come is the Chevrolet Cruze (pronounced cruise) a compact car slightly larger than the current Chevy Cobalt. Originally, it appeared that GM would replace the Cobalt with the Cruze, but after the August 2008 press reveal in Lordstown, Ohio, management has indicated that the Cobalt may soldier on as a separate model.
Regardless of where GM stands with the Cobalt, the Cruze is the car that could make or break the automaker when it goes on sale in Europe beginning in Spring 2009 followed by its US debut one year later. Though the US model will probably have a slightly different powertrain offering than what the European market will see, GM says that the Cruze will still get at least 40 mpg on the highway. Not bad for a gasoline model, putting it in the diminutive Smart Fortwo’s territory while delivering a bigger and safer car.
Excellent Engine, Transmission Choices Means 40+ MPG Highway
GM says that the Cruze will be available with 16-valve, 1.6-liter (112 hp) and 1.8-liter (140 hp) gasoline engines featuring variable valve timing (VVT) on both inlet and exhaust sides. This will give the car additional power as well as better fuel economy while producing lower emissions. The automaker’s new 2.0-liter turbo diesel, developing 150 hp will add more power with even greater fuel thriftiness. A five-speed manual transmission will be standard, but an optional six-speed automatic transmission will round out the Cruze’s offerings. The latter transmission choice is unusual in that it’ll be the first time that a six-speed transmission is used in the compact car class.
Top Brands In The Luxury Car Segment
Mercedes Benz- This is the first brand that pops into most people’s minds when they hear the term “luxury car”. Many studies have shown that this is the brand that most consumers equate with prestige and quality. For 2011, Benz has given its E-class trim a makeover with new sleek angular headlights and a more contemporary and sleek look. It is rather interesting to observe that many older C-class models are being utilized as taxi cabs in many European countries. This is testament to the durability of Mercedes engines; some of the engines on the taxi cabs have approached a few hundred thousand miles! Lots of young Hollywood stars opt for Mercedes; pop sensation Britney Spears has been often seen causing mayhem in the streets of L.A in her white Mercedes SL65 while actress Lindsay Lohan has been involved in an infamous car crash in her black SL65. The 2011 SL65 sports a V12 engine and an incredible 604 HP with a hefty MRSP of approximately around $199k. That’s a lot of power to outrun the paparazzi with!
BMW- Their sporty autos are known as “The Ultimate Driving Machine” and this is no exaggeration. The difference between BMW and Benz is that the first is engineered to be performance oriented while the latter is aimed towards driver and passenger comfort. BMW’s usually come with a stiff suspension and ample of hp. The best selling model by far is the 3-series, which offers quality performance, handling and power at a competitive price in the entry-level market. The 335 model comes with an engine that puts out an incredible 300 HP and 300 lb feet of torque. My personal favorite has to be the top of the line 7 Series, which oozes power and class; the 2010 model boasts a eight cylinder engine with 400 HP.
Aston Martin – Their cars are so chic and sophisticated that international man of style James Bond can be seen driving numerous Aston Martin’s in the Bond movies. Remarkable stand outs in the line include the Vantage V12 (which offers an impressive twelve cylinders for top power!) and the new V8 Vantage N420 roadster which is a fast and gorgeous convertible with beautiful curves, smooth fluid lines and a total of 420 horsepower.
Infiniti – Infiniti is the luxury spin-off line of Nissan. Infiniti is pretty new on the market when compared with the traditional German players but it’s already making a significant impact on the market due to its gorgeous and high performance cars. The manufacturer is noted for its high performance IPL line which is a more affordable alternative to Benz’s AMG line and the M3 series from BMW. The advantage of an Infiniti vehicle is that its service and repair costs tend to be typically much cheaper than its German Rivals. In general, Infiniti is also more competitively priced when compared with BMW and Benz. A stand out is the top of the line M56 which comes equipped with a mighty eight cylinder engine and 420 HP, with the AWD model starting at around $60k.
The 2011 Ford Edge Combines Form With Function
One of this vehicle’s top features is its impressive fuel economy which is 17 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the freeway. Advanced engine technology and the six speed automatic transmission combine to produce increased power boosts performance with excellent mileage. The new Edge has also received a hefty power boost. In fact, the 3.5-liter V6 engine with 285 horsepower delivers 20 more hp than older models.
The cabin is extremely well insulated and stays super quiet even at rapid speeds. The interior is spacious with enough room to seat five persons. Ford’s innovative SYNC system is in place which allows you to use the phone while keeping your hands on the steering wheel. You can customize your very own playlist, receive traffic updates and access 911 Assist in the event of an emergency.
The 2011 GMC Acadia Denali
New for the 2011 model year is the upcoming GMC Acadia Denali. If you thought the old Denali was a great car, than you haven’t seen this new model. Unveiled at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show; the Acadia was showcased as GMC’s first crossover to get the “Denali” badge.
The Acadia with the Denali spin has some additional but subtle new features. The styling to the new model is also a little different. The most prevalent changes of the exterior are the chrome grille and the changes to the front and back lower fascias. The fascia and fender flares are also the same color as the body. The 2011 Denali also comes with High Intensity Discharge headlamps, body colored lower cladding and rocker moldings, 20 inch wheel, dual chrome exhaust pipes, and, of course, Denali badges.
On the inside, there are heated and cooled driver and passenger seats with leather and matching trim, a head up display, two sunroof systems with a front sliding sunroof and a stationed rear roof, and a leather wrapped steering wheel with wood mahogany accents. The Denali also sports a navigation system, accent lighting, a rearview camera, back-seat DVD entertainment system, and automatic climate control in three areas.
As far as the engine goes, the new model will feature a six speed automatic 288horsepower 3.6 Liter V6 engine. This is the same engine as the other Acadia models. Also offered are front- and all wheel drive options. Buyers can also decide between seven and eight passenger configurations. Fuel economy for the Denali includes 17 miles per gallon in the city and 24 miles per gallon on the highway, for the front wheel drive models, and 16 miles per gallon city driving and 23 miles per gallon highway driving for all wheel drive models. GM hasn’t officially announced the price for the Denali package but its speculated to range from $38,490 to $40,490.
