Volvo V70

The 2010 Volvo V70 is an extremely popular luxury wagon. Let’s take a closer look to discover what customers find so appealing.

Volvo has a reputation for manufacturing superior vehicles that are very safe. They employ the highest of standards. Many of the safety features that you now routinely see in vehicles were first developed by Volvo. That says a lot about its commitment to the consumer.

One element seen in the 2010 Volvo V70 is the care it takes to the safety of some of its most important passengers, the children. This model comes with two-stage child booster seats, eliminating the need to install toddler car seats.

Another feature seen in this car is the LDW, which refers to a Lane Departure Warning. This system activates when the driver is going over 65 km/h and the lane markers have been detected. If the driver strays part way in to another lane or crosses the lane without using the signal, it reminds the driver by making a sound. If it senses that the driving behaviour changes, a warning sounds along with “Driver Alert – Time for a break” being displayed. This system utilizes a camera that is in the windshield.

Some of the other safety characteristics include rear power locks, anti-skid system, side airbags (curtain), an anti-lock brake system, traction control and a system to monitor the tire pressure. One of the options you may choose to add on is a Blind Spot Information System.
